Sono italiana madre lingua, vivo ad Oxford dal 2003 e torno in Italia varie volte all'anno.
Sono musicista e traduttrice. Ho imparato l'inglese e ho iniziato a tradurre semplicemente perché mi piace, la migliore ragione per fare le cose.

Lingue
Italian mother tongue, based in Oxford since 2003, I've a very good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken, which I studied at "The British School" in Milan and improved during several courses and stays in Great Britain (London, Bournemouth, Edinburgh, Lake District, ...). In 1995 I took the T.O.E.F.L. (Test of English as a Foreign Language) gaining an overall score of 633/660. Later I developed an interest for the subject of translation and studied the issues related to it.
Computer literacy
IT proficient, in 2004 I've completed the ECDL. I've experience with the CAT tool Transit and particularly with Windows, Word, Excel, Access, FTP, Internet connection and electronic mail which I use daily, and others. I can create websites and have some knowledge of HTML. I can easily learn how to use new software whenever I need to use it.

Primrose (CBE), through the publishing house "La Viola - Edizioni Musicali" I had established in 1998, selling CDs, printed music and books
2000: translation into Italian of the music tales "Tubby the tuba", by G. Kleinsinger and "Journey into Jazz" by G. Schuller, for the "Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi", Milan.
October-December 1999: Allstate Insurance Company, Milan (I), contract in-house translator.
Duties: translating software user manuals (to make car insurance policy quotes) and training manuals to train telephone operators.
1997: translation into Italian of the book "Stage Fright", Bosworth & Co., by Kató Havas (OBE), published in Italy by the publishing house Turris, Cremona; 1997-1999: interpreter during her workshops in Italy.
Other interests and experiences
I have experience in the legal field since on a voluntary basis I translated many court judgements and legal documents (into and from Italian) for a private association in Italy. From 1987: other experiences in the music field; contracts with orchestras, in Italy and abroad.
